A quarter of the roof removed - 2021-07-08, day 8

We’re removing the last layer of the roof today, hopefully we’ll get it done today so we can start putting up the new layer tomorrow.

Someone forgot something - 2021-07-07, day 7

I decided to take a walk “around the block” before sitting down for a Zoom-meeting. I ended up at the local beach which was completely empty, I’m not surprised since it’s was way after dinner time. It looks like someone forgot something, I hope the poor kid doesn’t have a traumatic evening.

Yet another sunny day - 2021-07-06, day 6

We have had a couple of warm days lately and today was no exception, I took a walk but kept it short due to the temperature. Today’s reflection: I’m glad I’m not a horse and have to be out in the sun the whole day.

I miss the trees - 2021-07-05, day 5

This is the schoolyard where I played my first 6 years in school (who know that I would spend the rest of my working life at educational institutions). But I think it was better when I was a kid, we didn’t have the stuff you see … but we had something much better: trees !!!

As far as I remember there was 4-5 trees in the middle (slightly to the right), then a line of trees just behind the small yellow building, and to the left (outside the photo) there was another row of trees. Now, they are all gone.

I guess the reason for their removal was safety, but I think we had a lot of fun around these trees, and I feel sorry for the kids who just have this open space.

We are getting serious about saws - 2021-07-04, day 4

I just discovered that two saws have moved into the house. I have to say that the size is quite respectable.

Lazy days - 2021-07-03, day 3

We have finished the teardown, at least so far we can do now. Now we have to wait for the building material before we can continue.

Scaffolding - 2021-07-02, day 2

I’m helping out in building the scaffolding, the plan is to change the roof of the house.
