Taking a break - 2021-07-12, day 12
We were driving north and decided to take a break and saw a sign that pointed into wood. It was a dirt road that quickly got worse and since we was driving a heavy van we decided to stop at walk the rest of the way. Of course the road got better just after we stopped 😝.
Anyway, after a short walk we found this lovely place. Perfect for a short rest. I’ve passed this this resting place 5-8 times and never knew it existed before today.
The “good old times” - 2021-07-11, day 11
Today we visited a museum and learned a bit more about the history of the region where I was born. I can only say that I’m happy that I didn’t live in those times, I don’t think I would have managed to work that hard.
I also bought a book called “kockar” (Cooks) which described the women who worked as cooks for the lumberjacks. I also learned that each lumberjack ate about 5500 calories/day … and they were not fat !!

Not much to say about this - it’s the first evening of our van trip in northern Sweden.
